I THINK I've managed to talk her into doing the reread of the HP books with me *IS LATE* AND. HOPEFULLY we're going to draw something from each chapter :3 I read chapter one today and drew Vernon Dursley being all oblivious to the owls outside his window, LOL. Vernon is SOOOO funny in that first chapter XDDDD

Wow. I went a whole update without talking about Tom Felton's Twitter! ... damn. Oh well, as I brought it up - he said yesterday that America should have a cricket team, LOL XDDDD "it would help international relationships flourish!why are our sports so different?love the u.s" - to which I said: but then you get the whole, "OMG WHO WON THE ASHES?!" and it'll be Australia... so that'll do nothing for UK/US relations ;) x

So, for the past few days I've been driving my aunt's car, and LOL... it's a manual ^^; which....... I haven't driven for about five years XDDDD Oh man... I'd forgotten why I thought driving was so scary/frustrating when I first started - I WAS DRIVING A MANUAL CAR!! XDDDDD And I had a horrible teacher, I guess, LOL XD

But srsly, it's so frustrating, LOL. I've stalled so much and I keep kangaroo hopping about 20% of the time, LOL.

The worst part about it is how bad I feel for the people behind me ^^; And gosh, I don't even want to try reverse parking XDDDD It also doesn't help that I don't know these roads like the back of my hand, unlike Hobart XD

HOWEVER. I did manage to drive to the cinema and back tonight without stalling or doing too much kangaroo hopping, so that's good :D

And now for something completely different... Heroes! Was it just me or... was the newest episode... (DARE I SAY IT?!)... kinda... good? LOL. I mean, I still watch it, but it's gone downhill since series one, and this latest one... I really enjoyed!! LOL!! MOHINDER!! YAY!! PETER WAS... COOL?!?!?! WTF?!?!?! LOLOL. IT'S SO OOC!! XDDDDD I still want to punch Claire in the head, but they couldn't improve EVERYTHING, I suppose XD

Art is going... strangely. LOL. I've started to draw the HP characters in their mid-20s... and I've managed to draw Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny, but... I'm having trouble drawing Draco?! WTFFFFFFFF. LOL. I haven't had trouble drawing him for YEARS. Weird.

I'm reading two books atm too... Stardust Neil Gaiman for the hogwarts_elite bookclub, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson. So that's keeping me busy!

We were talking about the different classes in terms of Hogwarts Houses the other day... Hmmmmmmm. Okay. I think Christmas has finally stopped. LOLOL.

We had Christmas day on the 27th and it's been all go for the past three days XDDDDD Both IRL and online!

First, I'd like to thank dustthouart, cambryn (x2!), coldwriter, heartstrings and tolightacandle for being my dancing partners at the Yule ball!! I had a wonderful time, so thank you very much :D (especially after buttfacemakani STOOD ME UP!! D:< LOLOLOL XDDDDD

I entered 10 out of the 12. Ironically I didn't do the fan art, LOL. I just didn't have enough time by the end of writing essays and ficlets and I can't seem to draw today anyway :(

Okay, so, for those who asked; why we celebrate Christmas on the 27th of December:

Basically, you know how your relatives have the OTHER side of their family (sometimes that far away from YOU)? Well basically, what we say is don't worry about "whose house are we going to this year?!" - go to your other side of your family for the 25th, travel to us on the 26th, and we'll celebrate on the 27th! :D

This also has the advantage of Boxing Day sales the day BEFORE Christmas, and by the time you actually HAVE Christmas, everything is open on the day if you forget anything! It also means that the 25th is THE QUIETEST DAY EVER. It's so awesome. I spent it cooking and doing Sudokus with Dad and watching Rumpole of the Bailey with Mum before we had cauliflower curry for dinner and watched The Vicar of Dibley, LOLOL. AWESOME :D

I received lots of wonderful things from my family and friends, and I also GAVE some seriously awesome presents even if I do say so myself, LOL XDDDD I'll go into that later :D

So, I was woken up today at least three times by the sound of my phone getting a text message... took me until the third one to (in my groggy state) realise WHY people were texting me... oh right... it's Christmas!! LOLOL.

My family doesn't celebrate Christmas until the 27th, so this period of the 25th-27th can sometimes be quite confusing - especially at 9 in the morning when the first text message arrives XDDDD

4. I spoke to my Mum on the phone, and she and Dad were having an awesome day, so that makes me happy :D

6. I caught up with all of my LJ comments!! WOO!!
7. The How Do You Like Your Vegemite? Website. I particularly like the age progression in the results - you start out putting other stuff on it so you get used to the taste of Vegemite, then between 40-60 you've got used to it, so you put heaps of it on and nothing else, and then after 60 you start losing your sense of taste so you put other stuff on it again, LOLOLOL XDDDD
8. Even though money is tight right now for me, I'm happy that my government is tackling the financial crisis head on, and I have confidence in them - as do 74% of my fellow Australians :D I'm also happy that they're happy :D

So far as that last entry went... it wasn't ANYTHING to do with you guys. You are SO awesome, and are a constant source of support and love that I know I can turn to. The day after was much better, and I came back down to Hobart and saw Joshie and Erika and Tom and I felt good again <3 Except of course that seeing Josh is a reminder that he's GOING HOME (to North Carolina) NEVER TO COME BACK AGAIN!! D: Oh well. I guess it's another excuse to go back to the USA, y/y? (with stopovers in California and Texas, AMIRITE?!)

I had a job interview today with a company based in Sydney! Yay!! I think it went quite well. But they've had over 100 applicants for the one job, so I don't think I'll get it, LOL.

In some very good news, Telstra FINALLY put my new internet speeds through, ZOMG. So now it takes under an hour to download Heroes/House etc, unlike the 3.5 hours it used to take!! WOOOOOO!! <3 Still haven't received my bill from last month though (I rang them three times already!!), and it's now three weeks late!! WTF. It's not like Telstra to NOT bill someone!! LOL XDDDD

I'm driving up to my parent's place today (I'm already running late) and I'll be up there for the US election - though we're only having an hour of TV coverage!! D: I'm voting that someone gets their webcam and points it at their TV for me, LOLOL XDDD I dunno if I'm going to get pissed if Obama or McCain wins though... LOL. I suspect I'd be too angry if McCain won to get sloshed... XDDDD

In other news, I got a new sketchbook and I had that "blank page syndrome", LOL. I did an AWESOME Remus/Tonks picture in the end. But now I'm suffering it again, hahaha XDDDD I don't think it'll go away until I draw something super bad XDDDD

Telstra is fucking me around atm. I wanted to boost up my internet, so I rang them a few weeks ago after my usage dropped to dial-up coz I'd gone over 12GB ^^; and they said they'd up it. But it still hasn't happened. And my bill is now 10 days late. UGH. So I rang them and talked to two different people both of whom were about as useful as a chocolate teapot. The woman said that she'd make a note that I'd tried to get in contact with them about it if there were any fees or anything. Sigh. Why don't I trust them? LOL.

I WATCHED SEASON THREE OF SUPERNATURAL!! And now I'm on like episode 5 of season 4 :D YAY CAUGHT UP :D

Also, sometimes I forget to wake up. You know that part when you're sleeping, and you can kinda control your dreams just before you wake up? Sometimes I let my mind just kinda run with it, and I'll KNOW that it must be time for me to get up, but I kinda forget that I need to. 0.o I'm so weird, LOL.

Also, I'm thinking of moving to Melbourne... that's... kinda scary. Racheal, Buffy and Kate are all moving back to my hometown, Mel, Joy, Haylee and my parents and aunt and cousin are already there... Josh is going home to the US... I mean, there's actually a part of my mind that is saying, "You should go back home and get a crappy job - at least you'll be around your friends", but another part of me is yelling, "WHY ARE YOU GIVING UP?! THIS IS A STEP BACKWARDS!"

Of course, this would mean moving which I would HATE. UGH. Srsly. And it'd mean probably living with someone else to afford the rent there... and being in Melbourne: a city that I don't particularly know or love. I suppose I could move to Sydney, where the rest of my family is... but it's even MORE expensive there...

I'm thinking that I'll give myself to the New Year. If I haven't found a job that I love in Hobart... I'll move.

There was understandable disappointment among Harry Potter fans when only one copy of "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" was offered to the public last December. I am therefore delighted to announce that, thanks to the generous support of Bloomsbury, Scholastic and Amazon (who bought the handwritten copy at auction) - and with the blessing of the wonderful people who own the other six original books - "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" will now be widely available to all Harry Potter fans. Royalties will be donated to the Children's High Level Group, to benefit institutionalised children in desperate need of a voice. The new edition will include the Tales themselves, translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger, and with illustrations by me, but also notes by Professor Albus Dumbledore, which appear by generous permission of the Hogwarts Headmasters' Archive.' 'Dumbledore's commentary on the Tales, which was discovered among his papers after his death, includes some historical notes, personal reminiscences, and insights into that most mysterious branch of magic: wandlore. I very much hope that readers coming to these classic wizarding fables for the first time will find his commentary both entertaining and helpful.

Hmm. Suffice to say that the card with the photoshopped image of Ben Barnes' head, with my Teddy's hair, put onto a muscley man who was half naked and pouring a drink, shall never come down from my mantelpiece EVER XDDDD (I'd be rambling to him lately that Prince Caspian's face was probably the closest, structurally, to my version of Teddy's that I'd seen to date. He has my Teddy's nose, and mouth, and almost his eyes too. Cut his hair a little though XD Gosh, you know Josh is so good sometimes. He listens to me ramble a lot more than most people let me XDDDDD AND. He actually listens and doesn't smile and nod *random love to Joshie* XDDDD)

ANYWAY. Back to the party. My Dad made a speech that made me wibble, and then I had to get up and make one and burst into tears, LOLOL XDDD My Mum had to come over to me and hug me as I finished, and we were both crying, LOL. I ARE SAPPY ROTAE XDDD

I dunno that I FEEL 21 though. I don't know whether I have experienced 7665 days on this Earth. I certainly can't remember all of them. So what proof do I have that they ever existed? 0.o I mean, if all you have of the past are your memories... what happens when you can't remember everything? Do you cease to exist because you have no proof? Does someone appear at your door and say,

"I'm sorry, but you appear to not be on our records as having remembered enough things to keep you on the physical plane. We actually believe you to be a semi-sentient form of life, which has unexpectedly turned up in our system, with only the capacity to remember 30% of your time here, and so you must be taken to a different plane of existence where there are others such as yourself... and unicorns."
