Friday: drove (I just wrote Draco two times instead of drove, lol *headdesks*) for 2 hours with Josh to pick up my BFF Mel. Drove (I DID IT AGAIN, DAMNIT, DROVE, DROVE, DROVE NOT DRACO XD) back, and then went off to play Put Put Adventure Golf. About 2/3 of the way through the game, I got a phone call from the people who had taken my interview for the Graphic Design job. They said they'd been having a rethink, and here's me thinking, "Oh great, they don't want me for the editor's assistant they offered me", but instead they said,

"Do you want a full-time job?"

0.o BZUH?! LOL. So yeah, I set up an interview with them for Monday morning. Had dinner, went around to Kristen and David's place, came home bed, blah :D

Saturday: AUSTRALIA DAY!!! WOOOOO!!! Mel, Josh and I went to the Soundscape Festival which featured, amongst others, THE LIVING END. MY FAVOURITE AUSTRALIAN BAND WOOO!!! Twas a good day, and we all managed NOT to get sunburnt, LOL, which is EVEN BETTER. They had people going around from the Cancer Council with huge pump packs of sunscreen which we all took advantage of :D We all went mad with the Australian flag temporary tattoos (Josh ended up with about six, I think, haha - and he's not even Australian!! LMAO XD)

(Just incidentally, there's this guy who's calling for PM Kevin07 to ban the burning of the Australian flag because some Tasmanian Aborigines burnt one on Australia Day as a protest against the day itself. In case you don't know, Australia Day commemorates the day Captain Phillip claimed Australia for the Queen - basically the day they came and took over the country from the Aborigines.

And these guys were calling it "Invasion Day" when they burnt the flag... and you know what? I'm totally with them. They SHOULD have the right to burn a flag that acknowledges the Queen and not the Aboriginal people who lived here THOUSANDS of years before white man came along and took over.

I am totally happy for Aboriginal people to protest Australia Day in this way - because it's not against their COUNTRY... it's against the celebration of the invasion... which is kinna wrong. LOL. When we become a republic, we should do it on January 26th and just commemorate our independence from the UK. *nods* ANYWAY... back to it... lol.)

We met up with three of his friends, who were very nice... and we listened to music, drew, Mel drank beer, lol... HAD LAMB! YOU MUST HAVE LAMB ON AUSTRALIA DAY. SAM KEKOVICH COMMANDS IT. :| LOL. So yes, had a lamb wrap... then we moved down the other end of the stadium and watched Grinspoon and then finally...


THE LIVING END OMG. They played some of their new stuff too... *drools* No one else had heard it before. Twas AWESOMESAUCE. And the lead singer/guitarist said, "The new album's going to have balls. If nothing else, it's going to have BIG HAIRY BALLS." LMAO XD He also donned a sequinned white coybow hat and played some country twang at the end, which I think was for Heath Ledger.

It was about then that Mel and I both got sexually molested by a half naked, drunk man. I elbowed him hard in the chest when he persisted in his... ewww... pressing against me... EUGH... and one of Josh's friends (who was approximately nine foot eleven) pulled him off us when he saw what was happening, LOL.

Crashed. LOL.

Sunday: Spent half an hour trying to remove my Australian flag tattoos from my cheeks, which resulted in me looking very flushed for half the freaking day... LOL. Went around and had a BBQ at Kristen and David's, which was very good. I dropped Mel off at her cousin's for a few hours, then Josh brought a game called Cranium around to my place, and he, Haylee, Kristen, David, Mel, Tamara and I played until about 1am, haha.

Monday: Dropped Mel off at Kristen and David's place so she could go home and drove out to my interview. Basically, I think I already had the job, it was just a case of them telling me exactly what is involved and stuff. It turns out to be 80% data collection of American photographers (427, you reading this? LOL), 20% graphics and editing help stuff. Anyway, I'll give it a go and see how it pans out. I think I'm actually really going to like it! :D

So yes. That was my long weekend. How was yours? XD

Hmm. So I'm going to be working 9-5 five days a week 0.o Wow. I suppose this means that I mightn't be around as much as I normally am :(

Today Tonight just did a "report" on Generation Y (14-32 year olds I think), and what bad employees they are. Because we're "spoilt", basically. And they gave some "advice" not to employ the "really spoilt" ones. 0.o Okay, just... about to state the obvious here... WHAT MAKES THESE PEOPLE THINK THAT THE REALLY SPOILT ONES ARE EVEN LOOKING FOR WORK?!!?! THEY DON'T NEED TO WORK YOU IDIOTS!! THEY'RE "REALLY SPOILT"!!! GAH.

I HATE YOU TODAY TONIGHT. YOU SUCK. AND EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU SUCKS. AND MY DAD THINKS YOU SUCK MORE. :| XD LOL.
