ARRRRRT is first as usual:

So! Ernie Macmillan (yay!!) LOL. This was my entry for the fan art contest over @
hogwarts_elite, and I ended up coming second to... yes, you guessed it,
buttfacemakani... LOL. I'm adamant that there should be a section for her and one for everyone else. LMAO :D and ZOMG,
cambryn!! I had NO IDEA that was your picture!! LMAO XDDDDD
Also, one should not watch The Number 23 when one ALREADY sees the number 23 EVERYWHERE like I do. ^^; LMAO. No, seriously. I even do the whole "make anything add up to 23" in my head when I walk down the street XDDD 23 has always been my lucky number, and I see it EVERYWHERE. This movie has made me slightly less paranoid (because at first I thought it was just ME, but apparently 23 ACTUALLY IS everywhere), but it's also made me a little worried about my sanity in general, LMAO.
You know that part where ( Click for mild spoiler ) This is what I'm doing:
"ZOMG DON'T GO THERE, 27 IS 23 LESS THAN 50 AND 5+0 = 5 AND 5 = 2+3 = 23!! NUUUUUU!!"
LMAO. I am so lame.
EDIT: OMG... I'm looking at the features on this, and it shows you how to work out your life(?) number out of your birthday, and what it all means (5/6/1987 for me 5+6+1+9+8+7=36 3+6=9 so 9 is my life number - "the humanitarian" apparently). And they get on best with 3's and 6's (as well as other 9's, 3, 6 and 9 are the "creative" numbers), and my Dad (who's a Gemini like me) is also a 9, and my Mum (Aquarius, which is the most compatible with Gemini) is a 3 0.o And ALL my best mates are either 3, 6 or 9. DUDE. SRSLY. FREAKY. LMAO :D Isn't it weird how crap like that works out?
Peace,
Rotae

I haven't done a proper update in AAAAAAGES.
So, first off, I just have to say: the British so totally pwn terrorists. Srsly. I was talking to my mum about it today, about how the people who helped out are just so freaking brave. She reminded me that this was what they were like during WWII; they were absolutely so brave, and so adamant that they would win, because they couldn't not. SO A HUGE HUG TO ALL MY BRITISH FRIENDS. ILU & THINK YOU'RE ALL KINDS OF AWESOME. Don't let the bastards get you down. *salutes*
I have HEAPS (well a couple of pieces) of ART!:

If you want full artists comments, head on over to my deviantART page :D
1. Mohinder Suresh from Heroes. Yes. I know. Non-HP fan art. I'm scared, too. But he's just... so... effing... pretty... XDDDD
2. Nymphadora and Remus Simpson? I take a style for a test run every so often and I'm currently doing The Simpsons. I did this for my prompt "work and play" over at
metamorfic_moon. Though my ficion prompt is KICKING MY ARSE... SRSLY...
3. Belated birthday present for my friends AmberPalette &
buttfacemakani (DUDE. CHECK YOUR NOTES ON dA) That's us. All HP fan artists, all obsessed with the Malfoys, all Geminis and all good friends :D
4. A very quick comic I did after I drew number 3. I wanted to put Draco in there with us (coz he's a Gemini too), but I didn't think that Heather would like it LMFAO. Yeah. >.> Draco's all like "OMG HI" in the first part, LOL. And I AM NOT GROPING HIM IN THE FINAL PANEL. >.> LOL. SRSLY. THAT WOULD BE WRONG.
"Okay, but you have to stay here and file my fish". Yes. I've been watching Men Behaving Badly. LOL.
Guess who got an "O" on their WOMBATs? OH YES. THAT WOULD BE ME. XDDDDD I guess my ramblings paid off!! :D
( Click for Proof, LOL )
Ohhh... I have a theory (it could be bunnies, LOL, Buffy ftw), AHEM, about Petunia Dursley that I haven't seen anywhere before which I shall post in the next couple of days. :D
So... what else? I bought a new camera! Woo! Go me :D IT IS... wait for it... PIMPIN PINK. FO SHIZZLE. And my cousin came down and we went a bit silly with it. (I'm only dressed up b/c I was going to CJ's fancy dress party. >.> AHEM. LOL. I didn't have the Hufflepuff cardi then, but I did have A cardi. LOVE TEH CARDIES. XDDD

I AM SO EBIL BWAHAHAHAHA!! PH33R MY DRUG EYES!! XDDDD
I THINK I'm going to go to the George Street Dymocks when I go to Sydney for the HPDH release. Apparently some guys from HPFZ will be there, so that'd be awesome. :D MY HUFFLEPUFF CARDIGAN ARRIVED FROM WIZARD KNITS. ZOMG. SO. FREAKING. COOL. It fits PERFECTLY. I'm wearing it EVERYWHERE. LMFAO. And I ordered Draco's wand from e-Bay, LOL. ^^; IT'S SO PRETTY. I hope it gets here before the OotP movie. I have two substitutes, but it's ACTUALLY DRACO'S WAND. XDDD I bought a ring from Salamanca Market yesterday and it is SO FREAKING BLINGIN HUFFLEPUFF AWESOME (you know blingin is so canon). I AM SO READY FOR THIS SHIT. AND. The cinema here is showing it on... THE 11th OF JULY. OH YES. I GETS TO SEE IT EARLIER THAN OTHER PEOPLE. LMFAO XDDD But I am NOT HAPPY with the movie already. I know stuff that happens, or more importantly, stuff that DOESN'T happen and I am saddened. :( BASTARD YATES.
( Click for picture of BLINGIN HUFFLEPUFF RING )
Oooooh... I went on an impromptu trip up Mt. Wellington!! And I met these two really cool families and we had snow fights. And then we stood by a fire and steam came off us. And there was a POSSUM. AND WE FED IT SNAKES. OH YES. AWESOME. As we were driving down the mountain in our three cars, I was strongly reminded of World of Warcraft. LOL. Like we were in a party or something :D Me = nerd.

So... yeah. Better count some more
sorting_elite Hufflepuff votes before bed.
I am still not mentioning a certain LIMS contest, although at the very least I'll be is 8th out of 79 original participants. 0.o Wow. And I got voted out of the second round of the H_E LIMS. LMFAO. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?! XDDD
HOPE YOU'RE ALL WELL!! Kudos if you read all that :D *tackles Teh Friendzies* :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HEATHER (
buttfacemakani) AND AMBER (~AmberPalette)!! :D Check my dA journal for more on that ;) :D Art to come!! :D
I wish I'd had the chance to sit down and really go through the WOMBATs when they were up. I managed to get a few notes down, but not all of them. CURSE YOU, UNI, YOU BASTARD!! A lot of people complained about how hard some of it was, like the Ministers of Magic to go with their scandles. But, I really liked it! It was just logical thinking, I suppose. I had a few educated guesses... excuse me while I get my geek on :D
Artemisia Lufkin (1798-1811) - Several of the oldest Wizengamot wizards walk out in protest at Minister's appointment (First witch to become Minister of Magic... likely this caused a bit of uproar, especially from the "oldest wizards")
Grogan Stump (1811-1819) - Attempted assassination by centaur (Stump settled what were "Beings, Beasts and Spirits". Not very popular with centaurs, I reckon)
Faris "Spout-Hole" Spavin (1865-1903) - Ghost demonstrations at the Ministry of Magic ("protest floats") (LOL, only one left :D)
Nobby Leach (1962-1968) - Pureblood riots during Squib Rights marches (Around this time, Muggles were also protesting...)
Millicent Bagnold (1980-1990) - A night of large-scale breaches of the International Wizarding Statute of Secrecy (November 1st, 1981 - the day Harry Lived)
Cornelius Fudge (1990-1996) - Persistent denial of notorious Dark wizards existence forces Minister's resignation after notorious Dark wizard appears at the Ministry of Magic (Well, DUH)
A few other points of interest in regards to HPDH were the following (whether they're true or not)
AAAAND, just two more things about the WOMBATs, I promise, LOL.
Pick the one that is TRUE:
1. To become an Inferius, a person must havebeen murdered by dark magic - interesting, but most likely false.
2. Occlumency can guard against possession - VERY INTERESTING. VERY possibly true.
3. Dementors are unknown in tropical climates - Hmm. Yeah. I can see it. Especially if Sirius went to a tropical climate in GoF. Get away from them.
4. A curse is stronger than a hex, which is stronger than a jinx - I actually think THIS is the right one. Didn't JKR say that a jinx was comical in some way, a hex was slightly darker, and a curse was dark? So... that means that the others aren't right. Ah well. :)
5. If a werewolf mates at the full moon, they will produce a cub rather than a human baby. - BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!! LOL. JKR, you crack me up so bad. *wipes tears* :D
Aconite (a.k.a Monkshood and Wolfbane - ingredient in the Wolfsbane potion)
Asphodel (ingredient in Draught of Living Death)
Bezoar (Cures most poisons)
Chocolate (Good AFTER Dementorsor spread across Remus to be licked off *AHEM*)
Expecto patronum (Dementor)
Fire (Inferi)
Phoenix tears (Most ailments)
Riddikulus (Boggart)
Sunlight (Devil's Snare)
Will (Imperius Curse)
Wingardium leviosa (Lifts object off the ground)
Wormwood (Ingredient in Draught of Living Death)
No cure (Werewolf)
So, WHERE OR WHERE does the Draught of Living Death come into it? Hermione recites Golpalott's Third Law, which states that the antidote for a blended poison will be equal to more than the sum of the antidotes for each of the separate components... but that's just for poisons. We have two answers there that are ingredients in the potion, one that cures most poisons and one that cures most ailments. The trouble is, if you're practically dead, HOW are people going to get this stuff to you? Shove a bezoar down your dead throat? LOL. I went with Phoenix tears, b/c that'd mean that Fawkes would have to come backto cure Draco when Snape drops him off at the Order, after making the Death Eaters think he's dead. WHAT. IT COULD HAPPEN. XDDDDDD
Phew! You get through all that? LOL. :D

A few other points of interest in regards to HPDH were the following (whether they're true or not)
- The allegation by goblin King Ragnuk the First that Godric Gryffindor had stolen his sword - interesting for obvious reasons.
- Towards the end of his life, Salazar Slytherin reconciled with the other Founders of Hogwarts School and returned to the castle to die - Unlikely, but again interesting. In fact, it's HIGHLY unlikely, b/c the Sorting Hat says that, "And never since the founders four, Were whittled down to three, Have the Houses been united, As they once were meant to be". The circle will be complete in HPDH. :D
- The location and name of Hogwarts were both chosen by Rowena Ravenclaw, who dreamed that a warty hog was leading her to the cliff by the lake. - LOL. Goes with my theory of this happening. LMFAO. Scroll down to the bottom of the entry ;) :D DAMNIT, JKR, GET OUTTA MY LJ!! Or at least talk to me, LOL. XDDDDD
- The Sorting Hat of Hogwarts was stolen and substituted by a group of delinquent students in 1315. The whereabouts of the real hat remain unknown. - Again, highly unlikely. But again, interesting that this is a rumour.
- The world's largest Centre for Alchemical Studies in [sic] situated in Egypt - This is interesting, because it links to two of the other books. Alchemical Studies = Philosopher's Stone (PS/SS), and the Weasleys go to Egypt in PoA (and obviously Bill worked there for a while). Maybe we'll go there in HPDH?
- Inter-country Apparition has been outlawed due to extreme Splinching - it would explain why they're riding a dragon on the Dulux cover. MAYBE THEY'RE GOING TO EGYPT. LOL. And on that note, I've heard two theories where that particular dragon was either Draco or Remus (LOL...
mrstater, you're so awesome) in animagus form. Hmm.

Sorry about the three updates today... LOL. But this is important :D
So. Apparently JKR said that there would be a lot to do with snakes in book 7, and that "snake lore" would be important. I mean, the first thing that obviously jumps to mind is the quest for Nagini if she really does have a part of Voldemorts soul... so I went along and had a look at what else it might be. And I stumbled on Greek mythology. It's interesting.
Thoughts about "snake lore"
Our medical symbol of two snakes wrapped around a staff comes from ancient, Greek mythology . According to the myth, Asclepius (the son of Apollo and Coronis) discovered medicine by watching as one snake used herbs to bring another snake back to life1. For Asclepius brought his patients back from the dead Zeus killed the healer with a thunderbolt2. At Apollo’s request, Asclepius was placed among the stars as Ophinchus, the serpent-bearer.
1. Two snakes = Snape and Draco? Harry watched Snape heal Draco. Dumbledore was going to use the Draught of Living Death in book 7 on Draco and his family to hide them from Voldemort. Still going to happen?
2. Irony much with the lightningbolt (scar)? Harry kill Snape? Voldemort kill Snape? Why isn't Snape a Healer if he hates children so much?
The Constellation Draco.
In the most famous of the myths, Draco represents Ladon, the hundred-headed dragon that guarded the golden apples3 of the Hesperides. The eleventh of The Twelve Labours of Heracles4 & 10 was to steal the golden apples. Heracles killed Ladon with a poisoned arrow, allowing him to freely take the golden apples. According to the legend, Hera later placed the dragon in the sky as the constellation Draco. Due to its position and nearby constellations in the zodiac sign of Libra (i.e. Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, and Boötes), the group of constellations can be seen to tell the tale of the eleventh labour5.
By astronomical chance, the Dragon's Head and Dragon's Tail mark the positions of the lunar nodes, those points where the paths of the solar and lunar orbits intersect and where solar and lunar eclipses may occur. The Dragon's head (Caput draconis6) refers to the ascending node, the Dragon's tail (Cauda draconis) the descending node. In several cultures, an eclipse was attributed to the disappearance of the moon7 or sun as they were swallowed by a dragon. The fact that the stars of this circumpolar constellation never set plays an important part in its mythologies.
Stars with interesting names in the constellation, Draco8:
* The basilisk
* The head of the basilisk
* The head of the dragon (also called Caput Draconis)
* The wolf
* "Southern One of the Basilisk's Belly"
* "Northern One of the Basilisk's Belly"
* Two wolves
3. Draco eats apples in PoA. Irony much? Guardian. Interesting. What could Draco be guarding?
4. JK loves the number 12, LOL.
5. Eleventh hour = final battle. Draco to die? Possible "reprieve" JK was talking about i.e. a character who was MEANT to die, but doesn't.
6. Gryffindor Common Room password, Philospher's Stone, Chapter 7, just after the Sorting.
7. Moon -> werewolves. Swallowed by the Dragon... Draco to capture Greyback?
8. Basilisk. Constant referrals to snakes and wolves (no Dragons though). Made up of snakes and wolves, but is still the Dragon.
The Constellation Gemini (Draco - born 5th June, 1980)
The orientation of the constellation can vary (since they readily form stick figures whether leaning right or left), though the twins are usually viewed as left leaning. However, when right leaning, one of the twins resides in the Milky Way, and the other outside it, a situation making it appear that one of the twins is stealing the cattle9, and the other is observing. In this situation, together with the area of the sky that is deserted (now considered as the new and extremely faint constellations Camelopardalis and Lynx), and the other features of the area in the Zodiac sign of Gemini (i.e. Orion, Auriga, and Canis Major), this may be the origin of the myth of the cattle of Geryon, which forms one of The Twelve Labours of Herakles10.
Gemini is associated with the Greek myth of Castor (or Kastor) and Pollux and with the Greco-Roman god Hermes/Mercury and sometimes also the gods Loki11, Asklepios/Aesculapius, and Veles and the goddesses Eris/Discordia, Hebe, and Ate.
9. Draco steals in the Chamber of Secrets movie. Irony again?
10. Twelve Labours of Herakles again. Ties Draco firmly to Gemini. Coincidence?
11. Loki was Fenrir's father!!
The links continue. Snake, Draco (basilisk, wolf and moon), Gemini, Loki, Fenrir. 0.o Dude. I have no idea what all of this means, but it's bloody exciting and interesting! :D
So that's my random study notes on what snakes might have to do with Draco is book 7. Watcha think?
Personally, I reckon that Snape is going give Draco the Draught of Living Death, Voldemort's gonna go "Whoops, he's ded", and then Snape's gonna smuggle Draco to The Burrow on Fleur and Bill's wedding and just leave him, like on the ground so he trips the security and they come and find him. And he'll leave a letter from Dumbledore or something explaining why Snape killed Dumbledore.
I've thought too much about this. LOL.
I had this insane idea that Draco was a werewolf. It's looking... insanely coincidental... with all of the links to the constellation having wolf and moon... and the way Draco reacted to Fenrir in The Lightning Struck Tower... SOMETHING is going on. I don't know what, but it is. LOL.
Peace,

* The basilisk
* The head of the basilisk
* The head of the dragon (also called Caput Draconis)
* The wolf
* "Southern One of the Basilisk's Belly"
* "Northern One of the Basilisk's Belly"
* Two wolves
