Well, Tom didn't read any of the HP books until after they filmed PoA ^^; LOL. He asked the producers whether he should, and they said no, so he didn't, and then people kept making a big deal out of it, so he kept not reading them in defiance, and then just as everyone accepted that he wouldn't read them, he did.
