Next Generation Malfoy Art! Woo!

Ah man... I started drawing this on Friday and just had to finish it (despite the extremely long queue of things to be finished, lol).

After reading DH, I came to a shocking conclusion; I no longer want Pansy and Draco to be married in canon. :O I know. OMG, right? I'm just as shocked as you are. I'll try and explain...

Basically, in canon, I don't think that Pansy would ever truly be able to understand Draco anymore... why he did the things he did, and why he thinks the way that he does. I still ship them before DH though. I reckon she tried really hard to understand, but I don't think she ever could.

What I want Draco to do after DH is basically travel the world for a while. Really have a chance to recover, and reassess things. I want him to meet "his wife" in Greece. I know. It's so random. But I can just image in it in fan fiction form, LOL. She's not actually Greek (though her grandfather was). She's there on holiday with some friends, and they meet after a while.

I really wanted a character who he could start afresh with, ya know? Someone who he could, over time, really open up to, and someone who understood him, and accepted and loved him.

I imagine that she was at least six or seven years ahead of Draco at Hogwarts (and was a Hufflepuff, ooooooh the IRONY, LOL), but wasn't in England during the time of the war (she and her parents went abroad a few years previous to the uprising).

Since I'm a Rosie/Scorpius shipper (that is TOTALLY canon btw, LOL), I'll say that I reckon she'd get on really well with Hermione (much to the distaste of their husbands, LOL). And I reckon she'd get on REALLY well with Narcissa. :3 I want her to be just a super nice person :D

And despite knowing all about her... I have no idea what to name her. I'm thinking something Greekish... maybe Greek mythologyish... or Charlotte. LMFAO. TOTALLY a Greek name is Charlotte. XDDD I think that's just because she reminds me of Charlotte from Sex in the City though, LOL. SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME.

ANYWAY. About the actual PICTURE. LOL. Oh... I should mention that this is Mrs. Draco Malfoy, Scorpius Malfoy and Draco Malfoy... though I guess you could probably tell that after my ramble, right? And, like... the title... ^^; haha.

Draco is wearing an Appleby Arrows Quidditch jumper.

amberpalette asked what I thought Draco might do for a living after the war, and my knee jerk reaction was "be like Paris Hilton" a.k.a nothing, but be rich. LOL. But I had a think about it, and I'd kinda like to see Draco play Quidditch when he returns to England (after meeting and forming a relationship with the, as previously mentioned, unnamed Mrs Draco Malfoy, lol). I mean, he IS a good Quidditch player... he only ever lost to Harry so far as we're told, and Harry could DEFINITELY have played for England, let alone just A Quidditch Club. And it just must have been SO HARD for Draco to give it up in HBP, that I think he deserves to do something he actually really enjoys. :) Oh, and I think he should be a Chaser.

I have no idea what Scorpius is pointing at, LOL. I imagine him to be the happiest child you've ever met. :D Just coz. And I love his little outfit. Awwwww... *pinches cheek*

And I am in love with Mrs Malfoy's coat. Oh yes. I wants it. It's based on one from a 1957 Harper's Bazaar magazine. Yes, I know, I'm a fashion freak. :D

So... all of this came about because

buttfacemakani and I had a devastatingly long Skype chat just basically about the Malfoys, and where we saw them going and what we thought of them in DH and stuff. I made Mrs Malfoy's hair dark brown/black because she was adamant that Scorpius should have black hair until she realised he was meant to be the spit of Draco, LOL, and we spent a very long time debating about her hair colour of all things, LOL.

We also have cooked up a daughter for them because Lucius's reaction to a girl would be HILLARIOUS. LOL. XDDDD Something along the lines of "What is it?" I think... haha!! But I don't think I'll ever draw them with a daughter (unless I decide to draw the Lucius comic I came up with to go with it...).

Oh, and Heather said that she thought Draco's hair loss may have been more to do with the war more than anything... and it'd be hot, like Jude Law's hair loss. Yes. I do actually have a quote with her saying Draco would be hot. I know. The sky has fallen.

And wow... this is REALLY freaking long. If you got through that, you get a cookie, and a Malfoy of your choice.

I have this really cute plot bunny, where Scorpius actually really likes his name and finds it totally interesting. And when he meets Rose and he introduces himself, he tells her the history of his family's tradition, and how they're named after constellations, and she also finds it really fascinating.

I am completely with you on the whole not-marrying-Pansy thing. When it got to that point in the book and it just said "his wife" I was like, well thank god someone didn't marry his childhood sweetheart. But I totally agree with you. I think Draco and Pansy seemed to have a totally functional high school type relationship, but after what Draco went through, I don't think that would last. The kid would have actually gotten some real-life priorities and fast.

Dude, they totally bleach the kid's hair.

Okay. Here we go. Yes, blonde hair is generally more recessive than dark hair (but I have blonde hair, and my dad has blond hair, but my mum has dark brown/black hair, and Petunia and Dudley both have blond hair with Vernon having black).

Her grandfather's "Greekness" was diluted anyway, and it's just become more so with her mother and now her, and now she's marrying ANOTHER Anglo-Saxon, so it just keeps getting more and more diluted. I mean, she has blue eyes already :D

I also kinda like the idea of descendents of Veela being woven cunningly into the Malfoy line... so I guess there'd be a strong blond gene there if I go by that :D

Not that I've thought about this AT ALL. >.>

Or, you know, Lucius dyes it at night like you said. LMFAO XDDD

I totally ship them before the end of DH... to the point where I think they came together after everything to comfort each other... but in that moment... I think Draco and Pansy would both realise that they had become too different. The thing about Draco and Pansy, is that they're basically the same person pre-HBP. And they feed off each other, and really GET each other... but... after HBP, Draco's changed. And Pansy hasn't. :(

Anyway. I still think they're friends, if that's any consolation, lol. :D

I thought you had watched it before, but I was just checking! Probably season 6 -- you get the musical episode, Normal Again, the three geeks of the apocalypse, the whole thing with Tara toward the end. Although, that might be outweighed by Doublemeat Palace and Willow getting hooked on magic.

Although, seasons 3 and 4 were pretty darn good. Three had Faith, Band Candy, The Wish, The Zeppo, and the Mayor, who might be my favorite villain. And four had Something Blue and Hush, although it had the initiative and Beer Bad. So maybe not four. Hm.

So I guess it's between 6 and 3 :-) Maybe I should just rewatch them all again to make sure! ;-)

Oh yeah, and you should totally do Buffy art!!!

Season 6 is my favourite too!! :D LOL. I really liked season 7 and 3 as well. 4 had Hush, which is one of THE BEST Buffy episodes of all time. But you're right, it had Bad Beer and the Initiative which sucked. And I've never been a fan of Reilly either, lol.

I LOVED the Mayor as a villain... but the big bad in 6 (the Trio, and life) were totally the best. Plus, the whole Buffy/Spike thing was so awesomely done, and obviously the musical... and the ENDING... OMG... srsly... Dark!Willow, and Awesome!Xander ftw :D

I also love the empowerment of all women at the end of season 7. Wow. I just love Buffy so much. :D
