Are characters such as Draco Malfoy capable of redemption?
JKR: I believe almost anyone can redeem themselves. Harry's (and Rowling's) view in book 6 was that Draco, given all the time in the world, would not have murdered Dumbledore.

I hope that Snape, Malfoy junior and senior will go well through book 7. Though she said two major caraters will die in it. :(
