Pansy's also described with blonde hair. I remember so long ago someone writing a big paper about how J.K. Rowling was trying to send a bad message about blond people (Draco, Pansy, Zacharias, Dudley), and even poor Neville was thrown in there (pre-DH). Yet, it hasn't stopped fanon from taking over his or Pansy's hair color.

I don't think Pansy is ever described in canon (or in interviews either) as being blonde. I think that was just popular fanon before POA came out.
