Head on over to my info and GIVE ME LOTS OF HUGS!! *huggles*
Rupert Grint says Ron's death not a big deal
VH1 has posted a new, five-question interview with Rupert Grint. He discusses Driving Lessons, as well as the Harry Potter movies, saying that it would be "quite weird" for him if Ron and Hermione hook up in book 7 because of the fact that he says Emma Watson (Hermione) is like a little sister to him. Also, Rupert mentioned that Ron's possible death in book 7 wouldn't be that bad because "it's the last book anyway. Plus, no one really dies. You can come back as a ghost or something."
*le sigh* See, this is why I have my doubts about Rupert Grint. "If" Ron and Hermione get together? Plus no one really dies? You can come back as a ghost or something? Uh, no Rupert dear. People do DIE and they do not always come back as ghosts, "something" or otherwise. And, I think it's PRETTY safe to say that Ron and Hermione are going to end up together. I just... gah... I hate it. I hate that he doesn't care about Ron enough to warrent a well thought out answer. I'm sure he's a lovely guy, and I have no problems with his personality (and I'm really looking forward to Driving Lessons), but this really bugs me. I mean, damn, Tom Felton hadn't read any of the books until they filmed PoA, and HE had better knowledge of his character back then. I just... gah. Do some research, Rupert. Please. Ron deserves it.
In other news... we had a Sorting Application over at
sorting_elite yesterday which lead me to believe that Lord Voldemort has been taught how to use LJ. Seriously.
Oh, and one last thing. I saw Heather post this and I thought it was made of awesome. KICK THE BABY!!

Peace,
Rotae

Sorry to get all rantypants, but Rupert's mah homeboy. LOL! *hugs*
We have to remember that you can't believe everything you get in the media and that Rupert isn't the most confident of people when being interveiwed. I was a bit iffy when he said nobody really dies. I think it's just something he said under pressure and not a show of unintelligence. (I think he means there's a possibility of coming back as a ghost, not a straight out "ppl don't die!!!one!!".)
The if thing, I think he doesn't want to sound to excited about that happening. Did you cringe every time Dan mentioned the kiss and how very excited he was about it? I know I did and I know I would doubly so if Rupert got all bouncy over snogging Hermione.
He does care about Ron. When he auditioned he put a lot of effort into it and, when he didn't hear anything from them the first time, went to *ahem* interesting *smirk* measures to get the part. He does care and he does read the books, he's just not great in interveiws. He is getting better at it though.
Driving Lessons is a good watch, BTW. :) I hope you get to see it soon.
Hugs? Brace yourself. ;) Oh, lookit, someone's on 30 now. How did that happen? *smirk*
Voldemort on LJ? LOL! Some people...
